Local first, by choice

Privacy, by design.

Microphone audio is processed on your device. Raw audio is not uploaded or stored. The camera is never requested.

What stays in your browser

ShotBeep.com stores numeric event times and transient features, review flags, session dates, calibration profiles, timer presets and your theme preference. There is no account, cloud history, advertising SDK or analytics tracker.

History is limited to the most recent 100 sessions and approximately 2 MB of serialized app data, whichever limit is reached first. Up to 12 calibration profiles are retained. Older sessions may be removed automatically. Private browsing, storage limits or clearing site data can erase results; CSV export keeps a separate copy you control.

You control deletion

Open History to delete one result or clear all sessions. The button below removes local history, profiles, presets and theme for this origin. Browser permissions and installed apps are managed in your browser or operating system.

Microphone permission

Microphone access begins only after an explicit timer, calibration or diagnostic action. Par Timer never requests it. Audio streams and screen wake locks are released when a session finishes or is interrupted. Keep the app visible; recording with a locked screen is not supported.

Offline pages and connection records

On a secure connection, a service worker caches tool pages, scripts, styles and icons. These caches contain no microphone recordings or local history. Erasing device data above leaves this public offline cache in place. To remove it too, clear this site’s storage in browser settings.

The hosting server receives ordinary connection metadata, such as IP address, requested URL and browser information, and may keep access and error logs for operations. No event times or calibration features are sent to the server. Log retention is controlled by the hosting operator.
